The Backstory

Here is the backstory of DCV and the journey that led to its creation. Throughout our tenure as teachers and researchers in various universities and research centres, we observed a common challenge among students and research teams. Many possessed valuable data from their research projects yet lacked the expertise to extract meaningful insights from the vast datasets, hindering the effective promotion of their research outcomes.

Motivated by a passion for bridging this gap, our diverse journey within academic and research settings has equipped us with extensive skills in bioinformatics, computational biology, statistics, genomics, metagenomics, and artificial intelligence.

Our Team

Data CompuVision Center (DCV) comprises a diverse team of professionals and researchers. Our team collaborates closely with the IBIS platform (Institute of Integrative Biology and Systems, Laval University, Canada), benefiting from state-of-the-art high-performance computing and data storage infrastructure.

Our team members possess extensive expertise in data analysis within the realms of genomics and metagenomics. Their collective knowledge allows us to develop innovative solutions for processing genetic data, utilizing cutting-edge computing and programming techniques.

This collaborative effort extends to supporting the utilization of supercomputers for various research projects. Regular collaboration occurs not only with researchers from IBIS and Université Laval but also with partners such as IRDA, other universities, governmental entities, and private organizations.
